

Curtis Dean Barker passed away suddenly on Thursday morning, Dec. 24, 2015, in Carthage, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas.
Curtis Dean Barker was born on Nov. 2, 1963, in Electra, TX to C.A. and Peggy Jean Dutton Barker. He graduated from Electra High School with the class of 1982. Curtis has worked as a flooring contractor since he was 13. He loved watching his baby girl play volleyball and softball. He also was an avid Oklahoma Sooners and Dallas Cowboys football fan. He moved to Carthage in 2001, from The Colony.
Curtis is survived by his parents, C.A. and Jean Barker of Iowa Park; wife, Michelle of Carthage; children, Amber and Kelly Barker and Amanda Richardson all of Liberty City, Blair Jacelon of The Colony, Teagan Barker of Carthage, and Dylan Possoit of Carthage; two brothers, Dewayne Barker of Iowa Park and Jeff Barker and wife Dena of The Colony; and 8 grandchildren. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive Curtis.
Pallbearers are Chris Barker, Dewayne Barker, Brandon Kruebbe, Dylan Possoit, Chad Barker, and Raymond Smith.
Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Barker and Travis King.
Visitation will be held from 5:30-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 at Dutton Funeral Home.
