David Marshall Steele

David Marshall Steele, age 68, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 1:13 pm in Arlington, Texas from numerous health issues. David was born in Wichita Falls, Texas as an only child to Pauline Toland Steele and Gilbert Steele on December 8, 1946.

David lived in Iowa Park and attended all of his primary schooling there. He graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1965 and was class officer-1, student council - 1, FHA-beau - 3, German club - 3, officer - 3, most handsome - 4, VIC - 4, and Officer - 4. David attended Midwestern State University and graduated from University of Texas at Arlington. He was in the Army and stationed in Alaska during the Vietnam War. David remained very close to all of his classmates throughout the years. He attended most all of the class reunions even after losing his leg in 1990. He referred to himself as "The one legged fat boy" and always had a fabulous sense of humor. David was a kind, compassionate, and generous soul. He loved everyone and always had a smile on his face. David will be greatly missed by so many.

David was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert Steele and Pauline Steele. He is survived by his wife, Dana K. Steele, and his step son Mike Snider and daughter-in-law Brandy Snider, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his cousins and many extended family members, and numerous friends.

The visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Dutton Funeral Home. Services will be held at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas Saturday, August 15, 2015, at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery where he will be laid to rest beside his parents Pauline and Gilbert Steele. A luncheon will be held at the First Christian Church in Iowa Park following the funeral.

Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church in Iowa Park.
