Eva Jo Evans Venable

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lewis Sneed of Aledo, Texas officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park, Texas.

Eva Jo was born to Bernice David and Mary Compton Evans April 11, 1930 in the Cashion Community. She was a retired secretary/bookkeeper and at one time was a dance instructor for the Arthur Murray Studios in Wichita Falls. She was a past member of the Wichita Falls Square Dance Club. She loved her family and especially the children. She was a Baptist.

She has lived the last three years in Weatherford, Texas, and prior to moving there, lived in Jacksboro and Burkburnett.

Her parents, daughter, Theresa Jo Kelly; brother, Walt Crane, sisters, Jerry Daulton and Carol Crumpton; and a nephew, Todd Crumpton, preceded her in death.

She is survived by a brother, B.D. Evans and wife, Donna of Springtown, Texas; sisters, Mary Lou Steed and Bill of Weatherford, Texas, and Judy Crumpton and husband, Michael of Iowa Park, Texas; two grandsons and several nieces and nephews and other family members.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday, March 10, 2012.
