

this life on Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Texhoma Christian Care Center in Wichita Falls, Texas, under hospice care.
Visitation with the family will be held prior to the services at the Southside Church of Christ in Electra, Texas, at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 25th. The services will follow at 2:00 pm, with Ministers Gil Peters and Dennis Hoff officiating. Interment will follow the services at Electra Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park, Texas.
Johnnie was born November 17, 1919 in Decatur, Texas to F.L and Susie Raton Parr.
She was the oldest of six children. Johnnie graduated from Alvord High School in 1937.
She married George Hugh Lee on March 12, 1938 in Alvord, Texas. Johnnie and Hugh were married for 53 years and resided in Electra for 45 years. She moved to Odessa, Texas and resided there for nine years.
She was a homemaker and had worked for the Electra Star News. She was an accomplished Artist, loved to sew, cook and play games. She was a member of Electra PTA for many years serving as President and also a member of the Electra Home Demonstration Club. A former member of the Southside Church of Christ in Electra
and a member of Sixth and Jackson Church of Christ in Odessa.
Johnnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Hugh of 53 years on 2/25/91, sisters; Lois Holbrook and husband Charles, Betty Sands and husband Lloyd. Brother Houston Parr, Sister-in laws Rose Mary Parr, Clovis Lee Ayers and husband Buster, and a niece Pam Holbrook.
Survivors include her son Bill Lee and wife Dyanne of Holliday, Texas. Daughter Christie Ray and husband Bob of Odessa, Texas. Brothers: Luther “Luke” Parr of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jimmy “Jim” Parr and wife Beulah of New Iberia, Louisiana and a sister-in law Merle Parr of Knoxville, Tenn.
Three grandchildren: Rhonda Ray Overman and husband Brent of Cumby, Texas. Rusty Ray and wife Cheryl of Allen, Tx, Clint Lee and wife Kathy of Wichita Falls, Tx.
Ten great-grandchildren: Chance, Chad, and Christopher Overman; Austin, Courtney, Brooke, Kinsey and Madison Ray; Lauren and Jared Lee. Six nieces and six nephews.
