Mary Beatrice Turner

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Highland Cemetery, Iowa Park, Texas, with Rev. Dennis Neal officiating. Services are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park.

Mrs. Turner was born December 26, 1915 in Lott, Texas, to Sam and Estelle Blagg Hewett. She married William Newton Culpepper and they had one son, Samuel H. Culpepper. She later married Carl Turner. She lived in Altus, Oklahoma, and later moved to Iowa Park where she resided until moving to Columbus, Texas. While living in Iowa Park she was employed by the local dry cleaners. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Cleo Hewett, and a sister, Gladys Martin.

Survivors include son, Samuel Culpepper and wife, Gladys; grandsons, Samuel LaWayne Culpepper and wife, Gay, Clendon LaVon Culpepper and wife, Linda, a great grandson, three great granddaughters, and two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Marie Smith, a niece, Carol Thompson, and a nephew, Herman Graham.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at the funeral home.
