

Maudie Pauline Henderson, 92, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Highland Cemetery Pavilion with Dr. Jon Eckstein, pastor, First United Methodist Church of Iowa Park officiating.. Arrangements are under the direction of Dutton funeral home.
Maudie was born on January 4, 1923 in Caddo Texas to Walter and Nora Allmon Jones. She grew up in a loving family of 9 siblings and attended Harmony schools. She married Raymond J. Henderson of Anadarko,OK on August 9, 1957 and traveled to Germany, Arkansas, Oklahoma and then back to Texas during his Army career. Maudie and Raymond moved to Iowa Park in 1980. Maudie was a homemaker and a wonderful caregiver to her grandchildren over the years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing clothing and costumes for children and grandchildren and baking cookies with them. Her family was the joy of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Opal Rollans and Eula Phillips, three brothers; Clarence Jones, Gene Jones and Harvey Jones. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Henderson of Iowa Park; her daughters, Betty Ward of Temple and Debbie Brandt and husband George of Iowa Park; grandchildren; Robert Vines and wife Karen of Howell, MI, Renee Minshew and husband Steven of Copperas Cove TX, Amber Sales and husband Clayton of Iowa Park, Ashley Anderson and husband Jay of Kyle TX and Julie Mertens and husband Ronnie of Letonia, AR. She is survived by great grandchildren Carter Sales, Cohen Sales, Ava Anderson, Brandt Anderson, Stephanie Smothers and husband John, Shelby Durst and husband Derek, Megan Vines, Bryson Vines, Sarah Barnhart and Landon Barnhart. She also has three great-great grandchildren, Jaden Smothers, Jake Smothers and Brayden Vines. She is also survived by her sisters Wanda Hood of Coleman TX, Faye Pitts of San Angelo TX and a brother, Wayne Jones of Coleman TX.
