Patricia Mae (Jenkins) Mays, 76, passed away Sunday, October 09, 2016 in Iowa Park, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park.
Patricia was born September 20, 1940 in Hampton, Virginia to Dallas W. and Nannie Mae Jenkins. She married Edgar Lee Mays on January 30, 1959. She worked as a meat wrapper at the Piggley Wiggley in Iowa Park and later co-owned and operated a housekeeping company with her longtime beloved friend, Rita Ketchum. Patricia was a loving mother who cared deeply for her children.
Patricia is preceded in death by her father, her husband, and one son, Jerry Mays.
Surviving relatives include her son, Ronald E. Mays and his wife, Christy; and their children, Dawn Marie, Cassy Rose, and Joseph Thomas of Iowa Park; daughter, Cynthia L. Sales of Wichita Falls; mother, Nannie Adams of Fort Worth, Texas; sisters, Jean Tyburski of North Carolina, Janice Brock of Alverado, Texas; and Carol David of Fort Worth, Texas; and brothers, Dallas W. Jenkins, Jr. and Thomas M. Jenkins, both of Hampton, Virginia.
