Preceded in death by: Parents JB and Nadine Darland; Husband, L.S. Whisnand; Brother’s Ted Darland and Jay Darland; Sister-in-Law Donna Whisnand, Brother-in-law’s Gene Marshall, Lee Potts, Bobby Whisnand Sr. and most recently sister-in-law Ann Darland and a Nephew Dwain Darland

Peggy is survived in life by her Sister Bobbie Jo Marshall of Mansfield, TX – Brother Bill Darland of Burkburnett, TX – Sister Fran Potts of Burkburnett, TX. Her daughter Cheryl Dean and husband Eddie of Iowa Park, TX. Son Craig Whisnand and wife Lisa of Hagerstown, MD. 6 grandchildren Chad Wright and family of Wichita, TX - Chase Wright and family of Keller, TX – Blake Whisnand, wife Jessica of Hagerstown, MD - Rachel Szczesny and husband Tony Chambersburg, PA – Andrew Whisnand and wife Cami of Clayton, NC and Stephen Whisnand and fiancé Alexis of Chambersburg, PA. 8 great grandchildren with number 9 who is due in June!

Peggy loved her family, she and Sebern Whisnand were married for 62 years before he passed away in 2013, she supported Cheryl and Craig in all their activities growing up and that support spilled over into the activities of her grandchildren. You could always find Peggy with her score book at any basketball and baseball game. Yes, a few times even questioning the umps count!!!

Peggy was a hard worker and was the legal secretary for O.N. Newman attorney at Law in Iowa Park for 28 yrs.

She was also very active in the Church of Christ of Iowa Park starting in 1969 until she became ill with her dementia 8 years ago.

A great lady loved by all. She will be missed!

Services are Tuesday February 8, 2022 at Faith Baptist of Iowa Park, TX with Pastor Tim Franks presiding over the services.

Viewing at the church from 11-12 Service at 12:00pm in interment to follow at Iowa Park Cemetery! Iowa Park, TX 76367
