Robert Fulfer

A Memorial visitation of Robert's life will be held between 4pm and 6pm on Saturday, September 24th, 2022, at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas to celebrate his life. Arrangements are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas. Interment was performed on September 9, 2022 with no graveside services at Highland Park Cemetery in Iowa Park, Texas.

Robert was born May 18, 1940 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Fred Adams Fulfer and Noma Ruth Fields Fulfer. He grew up in the Valley View area where he attended school, played football, and ran track and field.

Robert was in the Army, military police, and responsible for training military canines. He worked 63 years in the oil field business, seven days a week, 12 hour days. Robert lived his life for work and family. Robert enjoyed gardening and yard work, raising his children and watching his beloved RFD television.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Noma Ruth Fields and Fred Adams Fulfer, as well as his eleven brothers and sisters, Pearl, Reford, Omer, Bobby, Charles, Fred ‘Fat’, Jonny, Helen, Sonny, Shirley and Jerry Sr.

He is survived by his sister, Betty Glasgow of Valley View, Texas; former wife Elizabeth Lurane Fulfer Cornutt of Wichita Falls, Texas; his son Doug A. Fulfer and wife Angelique of Woodburn, Oregon; his daughter Lauren C. Fulfer of Wichita Falls, Texas; his son Scott R. Fulfer and wife Amanda Fulfer of Vancouver, Washington; and his daughter Melody L. Fulfer and partner James Rogge of Abliene, Texas. Grandsons include Dustin Fulfer, Garrett Barnes, Gentry Stacy, Robert ‘Robbie’ Fulfer. Granddaughters include Brittney Fulfer, Kendra Young, Grace Fulfer, Kaitlyn Barnes, Jessica 'Jessi’ Fulfer; Madison ‘Zee’ Barnes and eight great grandchildren.
