Thomas S Carlson

Sid was born on September 23rd 1939 in Pocatello, Idaho. After graduation, he enlisted into the United States Navy. Upon completion of his first enlistment of 6 years, he transitioned to pursue military service in the United States Air Force, where he served in Vietnam and retired after 20 years as MSGT E7.

After retiring from the USAF Sid then completed another retirement from Cryovac. Sid and Donna spent their retirement years raising their grandkids, Brittani and Brianna and wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Gramps enjoyed golfing with friends, fishing, and camping with the family. You could find gramps catching the UV rays outside or watching cops, car shows in his recliner, but not without his coffee. He liked to end his days with a little peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream.

Sid was preceded in death by his parents, wife Donna, and step son Phillip. Sid is survived by his step children Carla Brickner, Andy & Debbie Lew, Chris & Paula Barker, Mike King, Kevin King & Amber Scott; His step-grandchildren Brittani, Brianna, Brooke & Savannah, Zach & Collyn, Josh, Johnny, Trae & Toni, Seth; His step great-grandchildren Aubree, Atticus, Niklaus, Ivan, Dakota, Damien.

Gramps has touched so many people’s lives and the family would like to invite you to celebrate and honor this Veteran. Services will be held at Dutton Funeral home in Iowa Park, TX on September 16th at 11:00am for family and friends.
