

She was born on February 20, 1945, in Snyder, Texas to Jack and Gertrude Hart. On October 26, 1963, she married the love of her life, Gary Emmitt Lyles, in Hallsville, Texas. Following their marriage the pair moved to Iowa Park where Gayle spent another 60 years.
Gayle dedicated 35 years of her life to IPCISD, where she worked as a Para and school secretary at Bradford Elementary School. She also devoted 25 years to Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park. Her commitment and hard work left a lasting impact on those she served.
As a faithful member of the community, Gayle worshiped at the First Baptist Church in Kamay, where she also served as the Sunday School secretary. Her faith played an important role in her life.
In addition to her professional accomplishments and religious involvement, Gayle had many hobbies including arts and crafts, reading, and horseback riding. She also immensely loved antiquing, shopping, and most importantly, spending time with her family. These hobbies brought her great joy and allowed her to create cherished memories with her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gary Emmitt Lyles, her parents, Jack and Gertrude (Ethridge) Hart, and great-granddaughter Alli Rose.
Gayle is survived by; daughter Cindy Lyles and son Scott Lyles and wife Connie, grandchildren, Kaci Kennedy and husband Nick, Kyle Stewart and wife Michelle, Kaitlyn Bohannon and husband Curtis, Karli Smith, Payton Cuatt and husband JD, Reid Newton, Riley Lyles and wife Jennifer, and great-grandchildren Halli Kennedy, Kruz Kennedy, Avery Stewart, Mack Stewart, Jaxon Bohannon, Blayke Bohannon, Kinsler Bohannon, Easton Bohannon, Jaylen Bohannon, Noah Cuatt, Sawyer Cuatt, Parker Cuatt, Brynnlea Newton, and Haizell Newton.
Visitation with family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 P.M., Wednesday, August 30, 2023, in the Chapel at Dutton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M., Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Faith Baptist Church in Iowa Park, with Rev. Dennis Neal, officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Iowa Park, under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.
