LEXINGTON - Maxine Davis, 99, went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2017. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday. A private burial will follow at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. Maxine was born June 6, 1918 in Mullens, West Virginia but traveled the world with her husband during his military career. She was artistic and an inspiration to everyone she met. She is predeceased by her parents, James and Nettie Whitt, her husband of 42 years, Vernon Davis, sisters, Sara Clark, Juanita Walls, brothers, Otis Whitt and Billy Whitt.
