Funeral services for Aleena Olivia Louise Stone, 19, of Chapin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Bethel Lutheran Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The service will be officiated by Reverend Megan Lineberger.
The family will receive friends prior to the service, on Wednesday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., in the Bethel Lutheran Church fellowship hall.
Aleena was born on April 26, 2006, and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 17, 2025. She was the cherished daughter of Barry and Cindy Stone and a devoted member of Bethel Lutheran Church.
A compassionate and spirited young woman, Aleena had a deep and abiding love for animals of all kinds. Whether caring for her own pets or rescuing strays, she was known for her gentle heart and nurturing soul. But her kindness didn’t stop there—Aleena had a gift for seeing those in need, whether two-legged or four. She wasn't just rescuing animals; she was rescuing people too. Always the first to offer a helping hand, a warm smile, or a listening ear, she was the kind of friend who would give the shirt off her back without hesitation. Her loyalty was fierce, and her empathy knew no bounds.
Aleena is survived by her parents, Barry and Cindy Stone; her sister, Emily Rose Mary Stone; her grandfather, Richard J. Chouinard; her uncles, Brent Stone (Carmen Boatwright) and Brian Stone (Melissa Browne); and her cousins, Avery Hefner and Maggie Eliza Stone.
She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Harvey and Betty Stone, her maternal grandmother, Mary Chouinard and uncles, William Chouinard and Timothy Chouinard.
Memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church or to a local animal shelter of your choice, in honor of Aleena’s enduring love for animals—and for all of God’s creatures.
