Cara McMenamy

Born on June 21, 1953 in Wellington, Ohio, she was the daughter of William and Cara “Polly” Skeeles. Cara married the love of her life, Charles “Chuck” McMenamy on April 10, 1976. They were married just shy of 50 years! She loved keeping Chuck in line!

Cara was the mother of three sons, Sean and the twins, Brian and Ryan. She loved her boys, their wives, and of course, all of her grandchildren. She was very proud of every one of them.

Cara was a Registered Nurse and received her BSN in Nursing from The Medical University of South Carolina, where she was on the Dean’s List. She dedicated many years to her work as an Oncology Nurse.

Over the years, there were several beloved dogs in the family. Most recently, she was Dog Mom to Dasher and Mac.

Cara LOVED to laugh and she LOVED to watch Hallmark movies!

Cara is survived by her husband, Chuck McMenamy; her son, Sean (Allison) McMenamy and children, Josephine “Josie”, Andrew and Reeves; her son, Brian (Jennifer) McMenamy and children, Eleanor “Ellie” and Brantley; her son, Ryan (Cathy) McMenamy and children, Jadyn, Mackenzie, Emma, Kinsley, Savannah and Sawyer; her sister, Connie (Greg) Sovie; and a great-grandson due in 2026. Cara was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bruce Skeeles.

A celebration of Cara’s life will be held at a later date.
