Chanley was born on November 17, 1992, at 3:21 a.m. in Columbia S.C. Chanley lit up our world! Chanley was the first grandchild of Matthew J. Malovic Sr., “Pops” and Ellen M. Malovic, “Gramma”. Pops and Gramma met Peanut at Heaven’s gate at 12:20 a.m., August 27, 2022 at only 29 years old.
Peanut leaves behind a “mini me”, his son, Brendyn Ian Malovic, 7, and a beautiful kind fiancé, Casey Benenhaley. Their wedding date was set for March 25, 2023. Chan Chan was the best big brother to his little brother, Bailey Malovic, 24, and his little sister, Lakelyn Malovic, 22. Peanut’s mama, Heather Malovic, is left with a broken heart. Chan and Casey shared a rescue doggie named, Loki. Chanley also leaves behind his Uncle Robby and his Aunt Cat, his Uncle Matt and Aunt Jess, and cousin Sienna.
Chanley had the brightest blue eyes and sweetest grin. He always had a lively imagination. Bailey and Lakelyn said that their Chan Chan taught them so many things and was always a person of protection. Bay and Lala said that they taught him to be cool, play sports, be adventurous and not scared. Not only was Peanut a big brother, but he was also the man of the house. Peanut always helped his mama. Chanley loved to play jokes and had a wicked sense of humor.
Just like all the Malovic’s, he was a hard worker. Chanley loved being outside and was a Boy Scout. Peanut was giving and always bought his mom and siblings new tennis shoes. At the age of 18, Chan decided to coach Bailey’s basketball team. Chan always attended his siblings’ sports games.
For many years, it was Peanut and Mama, attached at the hip. Chanley’s favorite role was Daddy. Chan didn’t have a dad but he had his Pops. Baby B and his Daddy were twins. They loved playing video games together, going on adventures, going mudding and to air shows. Their favorite was Jurassic Park and all things dinosaurs. They loved to dance together and play “Party in the Elevator.” B wants to grow up and be big like his Daddy.
We are suffering on earth. We cling to our faith, that our Chanley, Chan Chan, Peanut is in no pain and flying high with his Gramma and Pops.
He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3
Peanut’s celebration of life has yet to be determined. Right now the family is doing their best to get by. We want Chan to have a special spot where we can all go and find peace. Please email [email protected] or text Casey or Heather, if you would like to be notified when we have the celebration of life.
If you would like to donate anything for Brendyn, to help him get “heaven sent” help, please contact Heather Malovic at [email protected].
Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, is assisting the family. Memories may be shared at www.dunbarfunerals.com.
