

Conrad Nolon Pearson, age 69 passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. He was a son of the late George Nolon and Jeannette Lewis Pearson. Conrad is survived by his wife, Betty Pearson, of over 40 years.
Conrad was born October 25th, 1954 and was baptized in Eau Claire Baptist Church on November 7th, 1965. He was a 1971 graduate of Eau Claire High School where he was Captain of the Varsity Football Team and played on the Varsity Baseball Team. He was awarded a scholarship to The Citadel for football but due to a career ending football injury he left to pursue a career with SCE&G/SCANA where he remained and worked for over 45 years as a journeymen lineman. Conrad also taught sunday school for close to 45 years at Eau Claire Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with nature. Conrad took his hunting adventures all over the world including: Argentina, Guatemala, Mexico, and South Africa. He was a lifetime sponsor of NWTF and served on the Dutch Fork Committee for many years. He was also an active member of many associations and attended numerous banquets for Ducks Unlimited, the National Rifle Association, Quality Deer Management Association, National Wildlife Federation and the Dove Society.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Jerry Shannon (Valerie);a daughter, Angela Shannon; Seven Grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; his sister, Bernice Robertson (Bob); a brother, David Pearson; a very special niece, Erin Irwin (Blake);and a niece, Holly Pearson.
A visitation for Conrad will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dunbar Funeral Home - Dutch Fork Chapel (7600 Woodrow St, Irmo, South Carolina 29063). A funeral service will occur Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Eau Claire Baptist Church (4427 N. Main Street, Columbia, South Carolina 29203). The burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery (501 Elmwood Ave, Columbia, SC 29201.)
