IRMO Memorial service for David Rodgers Spell, 67, will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2016, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Spell died Saturday, April 23, 2016. Born in Walterboro, he was a son of the late Jesse Alfred and Annie Virginia Redmond Spell. A lifelong resident of Irmo, he attended Northwood Baptist Church in Lexington and was an avid fisherman. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Rosemary Ann Drewry Spell; sons, David R. Spell Jr. of Columbia, Dewayne Robert Spell of the home; brothers, Jesse A. Spell Jr. (Nita) of Lexington, Steven Sidney Spell of Gaston; mother and father-in-law, Margaret and Peter Bach of Chapin; brother-in-law, Earl Drewry (Tammy) of Chapin; stepmother, Sue Spell of Lexington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Babcock Center, 2725 Banny Jones Avenue, West Columbia, SC 29170.
