

Earl Edward “Bubba” Turner, Jr., 76, of Irmo, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024. Born in Greenville, South Carolina on June 6, 1947, he was the son of the late Earl Edward Turner, Sr. and Zelpha Simpson Turner, and the husband of Pat Turner. Earl is a 1965 graduate of Parker High School in Greenville and attended North Greenville Junior College in Tigerville, SC. Earl retired from AT&T with 53 years of service as a BICSI Engineer with RCDD credentials. Earl was a member of Irmo First Baptist Church and was a member of Sam Poe Masonic Lodge No. 284 in Greenville. He was an avid South Carolina Gamecock fan, spent his free time playing golf at Oakhills Golf Club, taking beach trips with his family, and spending as much quality time with his grandchildren who he loved and adored.
In addition to his wife, Earl is survived by his three daughters, Ms. Kimberly Turner of Lexington, Shera Turner Silvis (Vic) of Summerville, and Ms. Amanda Ann Turner of Lexington; as well as two grandchildren Turner and Emma Kane of Lexington, and a sister Patricia Stewart of Greenville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Norma Jean Outz and Bobbie McDowell.
Services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, April 12th, in the chapel of Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork (Irmo), with pastor Cullen Turner officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour prior to the service, beginning at 1 pm.
