COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Elsie M. Dyches, 85, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016, at Fellowship Baptist Church, Lexington, with burial to follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 14, 2016, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. Mrs. Dyches passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016. Born in Winston-Salem, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Bennie and Rena Shaw Thompson. She was the wife of the late James David Dyches. Mrs. Dyches was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and the Senior Sunday School Class. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, and gardening. Surviving are her sons, Stewart R. Dyches, Timothy D. Dyches (Paula); grandchildren, Shawn M. Hutto (Keith), James Ryan Dyches (Mikiko), Cade Timothy Dyches; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Smith, Stewart Ryan Dyches II, Willie Dyches, and Danny Dyches. She was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Rogers.
