CHAPIN - Funeral service for Ernest “Ernie” Luther Daymude Jr., 63, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel. Ernie died Saturday, November 8, 2014, after fighting hard to overcome cancer. Born in Takoma Park, Maryland, he was the son of the late Ernest Luther Daymude Sr. and Jean Wigginton. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Daymude, daughters, Jennifer Harlin of Chapin, Jessica Daymude of Charlotte, N.C. and grandsons, Riley and Wyatt Harlin. Ernie was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed telling a good story. He never met a stranger and always left you with a smile. He loved life and having a good time whether that was riding a motorcycle, boating on Lake Murray, watching the Washington Redskins, hanging out with friends, listening to music, or reading a good book. He was larger than life, and will leave a void no one can possibly fill.
