Gail Aimee Gavey returned to her heavenly home on September 14th, 2025, at the age of 84. She is now reunited with her loving parents and sister. Her strong devotion to her family were central to her life.

Gail was born on May 1st, 1941, in Jamaica, Long Island to Richard and Lillian Gavey. Over the course of her life, she spent many years serving others. She fostered 99 children in need by starting The New Frontier foster home. Afterwards, she taught English as a second language at Fort Belvoir for the United States Army. She enjoyed being a Senior High Youth Advisor for her church. Later she was committed to her work at SAVAS as a Counselor for victims of domestic violence.
When she wasn’t volunteering her time and helping others, she enjoyed golfing, going to movies, shopping, and cruising. Spending time at a casino would always be a highlight of her trips. She loved spending time on the beach, on her boat, and sunning in her pool. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
She will be dearly missed.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday September 18th at Dunbar Funeral Home-Dutch Fork Chapel.
