IRMO - A funeral service for JoAnn Jacobson Jones, 79, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2016, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, with entombment in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Mrs. Jones died Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at her home. Born in Rockford, IL, she was a daughter of the late Walter Arthur Jacobson and Mildred Charlotte Thelander Jacobson. She graduated from East High in Rockford, IL and later moved to Irmo in 1980 with her family and opened Chiropractic Care Center on St. Andrews Road with her husband. JoAnn’s real joy in life was her family. Surviving are her children, Gary Jones of Lexington, Bill Jones of Columbia, Kris Jones Wilkins of Columbia and Kathy Jones-McCaw (Sam) of Chapin; and grandchildren, Kinsi Near (Chris), Mercedes Stone (Austin), Pierce Jones, Charlotte Jones, Xanth Wilkins, North Wilkins, Haley Grace Wilkins, Oscar McCaw, John McCaw and Lea McCaw; great-grandchildren, Lucy Near, Maggie Near and Riggs Stone. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Robert Jones; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Brenda Jones; and son, Randy Jones.
