It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of John Lewis Zeigler, a son, father, brother, devoted University of South Carolina employee, and a passionate photographer. John's journey in this world came to a close on October 23rd, 2023 at the age of 64. His memory lives on through his parents, Joe and Margaret, his siblings, Eddie and Susan, and his children, Ben and Becca.
John was born on November 4, 1958, and had a keen eye for capturing the beauty of this world through the perspective of his camera. His children were important to him, and he shared with them the values of kindness and resilience. His legacy will live on through his children, his photographs, and his impact at the University of South Carolina. He will be missed by family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
A memorial service to honor John's life will be held at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel on Sunday, October 29th at 3:00 pm.
