Jonalee Marie Carr, 63, was called home by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, surrounded by her cherished family and prayer on February 5th, 2025. Born to John and Elizabeth Farley on July 8th, 1961, in Butte, Montana. Jonalee dedicated her life to encourage, love and support her family, friends, and animals.
Jonalee’s greatest joy came from family, watching her children and grandchildren play, sharing in the beauty of life together. She lived as a humble servant of Christ, offering selfless love and unwavering support to everyone she encountered—including countless stray animals. Her faith and strength were the quiet pillars on which she led those around her, offering courage and steadfast support. Jonalee’s home was not just a place, but any room she entered, where she ensured we all felt safe, loved, and cherished. Her beauty was as profound within as it was radiant on the outside.
Seventeen years ago, Jonalee met the love of her life in West Virginia, her deep love and affection for Jim was seen in her eyes as she looked to him for guidance, prayer and support. With her as his heartbeat, Jim (papa) poured over her with unwavering love and care in every moment they shared together. Jonalee, lovingly raised two beautiful children on her own, and in their eyes, she was nothing short of extraordinary. Jaymie, her first born, shares her mom’s humility, love, and strength. Jonalee took great joy in seeing her blossom into the beautiful woman, wife and mother she is. She cherished her son Luke deeply, believing he could do no wrong. She found great pleasure in hearing his tales of adventure and felt immense pride watching him grow into a strong, compassionate man, and a truly loving husband and father.
Her Love, grace, and meekness are carried on proudly by her husband Jim, children Jaymie (Eric), and Luke (Jennifer) and three grandchildren.
A celebration of Jonalee's life will be held in November 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause close to Jonalee’s heart. Her favorite poem is “Footprints in the Sand”, and when all was wrong she would always say “ Give it to God”. Isaiah 41:10: "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand".
