Joyce "Jicky" Dabney Faile

Memorial Service for Joyce "Jicky" Dabney Faile, 79, formerly of Irmo, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2014 at Dutch Fork Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church Fellowship Hall. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo is assisting the family.

Jicky passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Bailey Dabney and Zonnie Curry Dabney. She was the wife of the late Dr. James Thomas Faile. Jicky was an active member of Dutch Fork Baptist Church. She was a Physical Education and Health Teacher in Lancaster, Chester, and Irmo, where she retired from Dutch Fork Elementary School in 1996. Jicky never had a bad day, never met a stranger, always wore a smile on her face and was the best Mom and Nana in the world. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children: James Thomas Faile, Jr and his wife, Molly, of Lexington, SC; Julie Clark and her husband, Mitch, of York, SC and Janice Dixon, and her husband, Michael, of Waxhaw, NC; grandchildren, Ryan Dixon, Laney Dixon, Caroline Clark, Mitchell Clark, and Luke Faile. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
