Marie Reynolds Meeks

Marie Reynolds Meeks passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. She was born in Columbus, Georgia to Bob and Sarah Reynolds.

Marie graduated from AC Flora High School and went on to earn both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from The University of South Carolina. Her passion for teaching led her to serve in Richland District 1, and the Timmerman School, where she dedicated 30 years of her life nurturing and educating young minds.

In 1966, Marie married the love of her life, George Meeks. Their marriage spanned 59 cherished years, marked by love, devotion and shared faith.

A faithful member of St. Andrews Baptist Church for 68 years, Marie served in many capacities: deacon, Sunday School teacher, choir member and as an active participant on many church committees. She gave generously of her time through the church's Kid's Cafe program and worked behind the scenes with the Honduras Mission Team to further the church's outreach.

Marie had a spirit of adventure and a genuine love for exploring the world. She traveled widely, visiting countries across Central and South America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East - embracing both cultural and spiritual journeys.

She is survived by her devoted husband George, her two sons Bobby (Kathleen) of New Castle, PA and Mark (Jill) of Odessa, Fl. and her five grandchildren: Kayla, Matthew, Hannah, Nathan and Christopher, who were a constant source of joy and pride for her.

Marie answered the call of her Heavenly Father on November 26, 2025. Those who knew her will remember her for her kindness, her faith, her dedication to education and generous heart. She touched countless lives, in the classroom, church and her own family. Her legacy will live on through all who had the privilege to know her.

Visitation will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the St. Andrews Baptist Church, followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm. A graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Andrews Baptist Church Honduras Hygiene Kit Fund.
