

COLUMBIA - A funeral service for Matthew Blaine Colley, 24, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 31, 2016, at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery. Reverend Frank W. Anderson will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel.
Matthew passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016. Born in West Columbia, he was a son of William Duane Colley and Lori Lynn Goode Colley.
He was a 2010 graduate of Chapin High School, where he was active in R.O.T.C. Matthew attended the University of South Carolina and was an avid Gamecock fan. He was a member of St. Michael’s Lutheran Church. Matthew enjoyed music and playing video games.
In addition to his parents, surviving are his brothers, William Blake Colley (Ashley) of Irmo and Andrew Brett Colley of Chapin; paternal grandmother, Rose Colley of Chapin; maternal grandfather, Russell Frank Goode, Jr. of Bogalusa, Louisiana; aunt, Denise Holley (Ira) of Orangeburg; uncle, Russell Frank Goode III (Michelle) of Bogalusa; nieces, Morgan and Taylor Colley; cousins, Beth Orman (Chris), Lauren Davies (Chris), and Elise Goode; and close friend, Aleisha Taylor. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Betty Crenshaw Goode and paternal grandfather, Billy Burns Colley.
