Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Francisco Seda-Vazquez and Elisa Estrella Martinez. A dedicated, loyal, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she maintained the home while being a military wife. Melba was very humble. She was a conversationalist who enjoyed a good conversation and was friends with everyone. She also loved shopping, interior decorating, and picnics. Most of all, she took great care of her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, James (Geralyne), Marjorie, and Robert (Elisa) Guirau; grandchildren, Shawn (Rucsandra), Laura, Michael (Taylor), Brian and Ethan, and great- grandchildren, Milena, Scarlett and Sophia.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Rafael Guirau; infant daughter, Lydia Guirau; grandson, John-Paul Deliz-Guirau; and sister, Lourdes.
