A memorial service for Nicholas “Nick” Jerry Kanellos, 23, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Nick died Saturday, April 16, 2016. Born in Columbia, he was a son of Jerry George and Deborah Lynne Campbell Kanellos. A graduate of Saluda High School Class of 2011, he was the owner of Big Guy’s Tree Removal Service. He had a passion for trees and loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and boating. He loved being with his family and friends and never went anywhere that he didn’t know someone. He loved to talk and always had a smile on his face that lit up the room.
In addition to his parents of Leesville, he is survived by a brother, Paul William Kanellos, also of Leesville; uncle, Ted Campbell (Lisa McKinless) of Franklin, Tenn; and aunt, Connie Campbell. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Harry and Wrenna Campbell and a cousin, Haley Shay Campbell.
