She was preceded in death by her husband, L. Wayne Burr; Mother, Irene O'Neill; Father, Phelin O'Neill; sister, Peggy O'Neill Wilson. She leaves a nephew, DJ Wilson of Blythewood SC and a niece, Bel Seay of Richmond, KY.
Patricia, "Trish" was a dedicated and beloved high school math teacher for over 40 years at Spring Valley High School. She was a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
She had a passion for all animals, but had a special love for dogs. Trish was a founding member of the Greater Columbia Obedience Club, a long-standing member of the Columbia Kennel Club. Her teaching abilities were also used to train obedience to many dog owners.
Trish always had a smile for everyone and she will be greatly missed.
A service will be held at Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel, Dutch Fork Chapel on Thursday, June 22nd, at 2:00 p.m, with a visitation following the service. Memories may be shared at www.dunbarfunerals.com.
