

A gathering of family and friends will be held 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Mason, Ohio at a later date.
Phyllis was born October 4, 1925 in Sharonville, Ohio to Andrew and Belle Hamilton Putnam. Mrs. Maddox retired from Cooper Power Tools as a Customer Service Administrator and was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Masonic Chapter #494 in Mason, Ohio. Phyllis loved her family, friends and coworkers and they loved her. After retirement she enjoyed travelling with friends and family to the mountains and to the beach, especially treasuring her time with the “Stitch and Bitch Club”.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings, Jack Putnam, Howard Putnam, James Putnam, Covely Putnam, Robert Putnam, Wyllodean Walker and her daughter-in-law, Dianne Maddox. Survivors include her son, Raylie Maddox; two grandchildren, Cheryl Paul (Clint), Sheila Ruehl (Mark); three great-grandsons, Pierson Paul, Hudson Paul, Colton Paul; two great-granddaughters, Taylor Ruehl, Bradi Ruehl; two sisters, Glenna Booker, Anna Mae Lakes; a sister-in-law, Ann Putnam; a brother-in-law, Clayton Lakes; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staffs at Generations of Irmo, MSA Hospice and Opus Post – Acute Rehabilitation for their fantastic care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or to the American Heart Association.
