COLUMBIA - A memorial service for Rickie Ann Roach, 65, will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 4:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Roach passed away January 29, 2018. Born in Columbia on January 3, 1953, she was a paternal granddaughter of the late Lonnie and Pearl Nates.
Rickie was in the first graduating class of Spring Valley High School in 1971 and recently retired from Intel Corporation on December 31, 2017. She was very passionate about her faith and enjoyed a lifelong journey with God. She loved her family, work and her garden.
Surviving are her husband, Randy Roach; daughter, Tammy Parsons (Col. Lamar Parsons) of Fort Hood, Texas; grandsons, Nick and William Parsons; sister, Marilyn Nates of Waynesville, North Carolina; and a number of aunts, uncles and other extended family.
In addition to her grandparents, she was predeceased by her father, Lonnie Nates
