Dear Michelle, Michael Richard, Hazel, Bill, Caitlin, Liam & Michael B,
     Robert's  passing has been a heartbreaking loss and it cut a deep wound in our family.  The wound will heal and soften with time but the scar of his loss will never fade. Robert's light was  extinguished far too soon. The beautiful words and tributes spoken at his memorial speak great testament to the loving, caring young man that he was and the beautiful family he represented.  He will live on in the love and memories of so many and in the smile and footsteps of his precious son, Liam.

So very sorry to learn of your loss. Remembering Robert as a Viking football player and coach who was mature for his age. He liked helping the younger players learn how to block and tackle.

Robert ! Well I went to school with you at irmo high school , I remember you playing football & I was in color guard . You were very quiet growing up , talked to you a handful of times & had classes together . What happened was cruel & I’m praying for the entire family . Rest easy man I’m glad I had the chance to meet you 💜

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Robert since the 7th grade like many of our fellow classmates, even though it’s been almost four years since we’ve seen each other or talk his passing brought so many tears to my eyes because I know this world lost such a great, kind, caring soul too soon. Robert had the biggest heart and always knew how to bring a smile to everyone’s face and make a dull day bright again my heart goes out to you Michelle and Bill for the lost and hurt your family is facing y’all are in my prayers everyday no parent should have to endure this kind of pain. I know he’s now your family’s guardian angel watching down and protecting y’all. May God bless your family and give you the strength to get through this tough day, RIP Robert you will be very much missed we will all meet again one day.

Michelle and Family,

I know there is nothing that I can say to take away your pain. I am so sorry and we are praying for your family. I remember Robert as a young boy, full of energy and he sure loved his Momma and I know Robert and Michael are your whole world. Kristy and I are here if you need anything at all. 

My dear sweet Michelle, I wish I had some magic words to ease your pain but there are none. You are a very special friend and even though we don't see each other the bond will always be there. I am here for you if you need to talk anytime. You are a wonderful Mother who always loved and put her children before your needs..they always knew you were in their corner. My memories of Robert are when he was a young boy...always sweet and smiling. I am so glad you have a part of him in Liam..he will be your saving grace...you will always have a part of Robert in him. I love you and am praying for peace and comfort for you during this difficult time. A mother should not have to endure things like this.  Give Michael my love too...I remember him as a loving boy who always had a hug for Ms Carol. You have always been a caring compassionate person..I had not known you long when Bobby died in 2004 and you came all the way to Newberry to his visitation..I never forgot that..it was the beginning of a great friendship. I am so glad I had the privilege to teach Robert. Such a sweet young man that was taken so soon.  

Nick and I only had the privilege to know Robert for a few months, he was an amazing, intense, and loving friend. He went out of his way for us when he didn't have to. He made sure we were okay and taken care of. He loved us like family and we loved him like family as well. I will never forget his smile or his laugh, or how much he did for my family, even just by being here making us all laugh. Robert will always be in Nick and my hearts. We will never forget you Robert. RIP ❤️

I met Robert through our love of motorcycles. When we rode, feeling the wind on our face nothing else mattered. We found a friendship and peace every time we took the bikes out. As time went on,  my wife and I got to know Robert alot more and he became part of our family. He even gained a new name as we called him Kenny(inside joke).  Robert we will miss you every day of our lives. My heart breaks at how everything went down. You and your family remain in our prayers. We love you kid. 

My time with Robert was when he was much younger as me and my son would periodically spend Friday nights with Michelle and the boys.  While we scrapbooked, crocheted and laughed the boys would hang out and play together.  While we haven't spent much time with him in recent years, I still always thought of him as extended family.  I will always remember his big smile and he will be missed.  Praying for your comfort and that your memories will sustain you during this difficult time.  We love you Michelle and Michael.  -Cheryl

I can't say enough about Robert! He was my brother, my best friend, and my protector. I can't give just one memory, there's so many. One thing is for sure, you ALWAYS knew how to make anyone smile or laugh. I will hold you in my heart forever! Rest in peace, brother. I love you! 

Oh Robert my Robert! How do I say goodbye? You and Michael have been my heart and soul since the days you were born. I never dreamed I would have to say goodbye to you like this. I will hold you dearly in my heart for the rest of  my life. I would give anything to have you back! I love you my sweet son. Rest in peace. Don't worry about Liam. Caitlin, Uncle Michael, Nana, Bear, your Dad, the whole family and I will be here to take care of him. He will always know how much his Daddy loved him!!!
