Rosalind Gardner

COLUMBIA – Funeral Service for Rosalind P. Gardner, 103, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at The Episcopal Church of St. Simon and St. Jude, 1110 Kinley Road, Irmo, SC 29063. Family and friends will be received following the service. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo is assisting the family. Mrs. Gardner passed away Friday, August 26, 2016. Born in Boiling Springs, N.C., she was a daughter of the late James Leroy Pruette and Ella Elizabeth Kirby Pruette. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Olin Gardner. Mrs. Gardner was a talented pianist, affectionately known as the “Piano Lady.” She shared her love of music with friends and family as well as the patients of the Oncology Unit at Palmetto Health Richland. Cherishing her memory are her daughters, Rosalind Gardner Funk, Melba Gardner Davis (Randy); grandchildren, Michelle R. Davis (Isa), Walter Byron Davis (Angelique), Dorin Andrea Jannotta (Gemi), Charles R. Funk IV, and Cecelia Theodore (Michael). She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Sloane Davis, Graeson Davis and Owen Jannotta; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gardner was predeceased by a daughter, Anita Lynn Jannotta.
