IRMO - A Memorial Mass for Santo John Targia, 87, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016, at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, 120 Marydale Lane, Columbia. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, is assisting the family.
Mr. Targia died Saturday, October 22, 2016. Born in New Brunswick, N.J., he was the son of the late Michael and Catherine Fiorentino Targia. He was a member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Lucy Spano Targia; daughters, Kathleen Hamilton (Tommy) and Michele Malloy (Jim), all of Wilmington, N.C.; son, Michael Targia (Tara) of Irmo; grandsons, Erick and Christopher Targia of Irmo; sister, Maryann Snedeker of Virginia. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Theresa Policastro and Catherine Langridge.
