Born in Blackville, South Carolina, Sherri was the daughter of W.R. “Billy” Williams and Harriet Delano Williams. She dedicated her life to caring for others, first as a nurse in a skilled nursing facility and later as a hospice nurse, where her compassion, steadiness, and gentle presence touched countless lives.
Sherri was deeply devoted to her family and was a proud supporter of the Clemson Tigers, cheering them on with her trademark enthusiasm. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Debra Covington; and her son, Michael “Mat” Thrasher II. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael “Mike” Thrasher; her son, Will Thrasher (Katie); her grandchildren, Collins and Liam; her sister, Harriet Williams (Kathy); and multiple nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel in Irmo, South Carolina, with the funeral service to follow at noon. A graveside service will be held afterward at Shady Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
