Timothy David Foy, lovingly known as "Tim" or "Honey Bun," passed away on February 3, 2025, in Leesville, South Carolina, at the age of 62. Born on June 22, 1962, in Panama City, Florida, Tim lived a life deeply rooted in faith, family, and service.
Tim proudly served as a Combat Engineer in the United States Marine Corps, demonstrating dedication and resilience throughout his military career. Beyond his service to his country, he was devoted to studying the Word of God. His faith was not just something he believed—it was something he lived by and shared with all those around him. He embodied the principles of a godly life, offering guidance and encouragement to many.
Tim found great joy in catfishing, a pastime that allowed him to connect with nature and reflect on the blessings of life. Whether casting a line or sharing scripture, he approached every moment with purpose and devotion.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Yvonne Foy; his daughter Belinda Goins and her husband Destin; his son Benjamin Foy and his wife Jessica; and his cherished grandchildren Brooke, Grayson, Graham, Zaylen, Cataleya, and Anthony. He also leaves behind his mother Laura Foy; siblings Chris, Angie, Becky (and her husband Robert), and Kathy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Brian Foy.
Tim’s unwavering faith is best captured in one of his favorite scriptures: “For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:6-8). His legacy is one of perseverance and trust in the Lord—a message he imparted to all who knew him.
As we remember Tim’s life and honor his memory, we hold onto his words: “Keep the faith.” May we continue to seek joy in the Lord as he did so faithfully. He will be deeply missed but forever loved.
