

Ardella Brewer, 89 of Jackson, Michigan transitioned to eternal peace on Sunday, March 26, 2023. Ardella was born November 9, 1933 in Gaylord, Michigan to Harding and Callie Beatrice Brewer. Ardella was an advocate for education; as she worked for 36 years with Jackson Public Schools. After retirement she was an avid volunteer with Henry Ford Health, where she met no strangers. Ardella gave her life to Christ at an early age and had a personal relationship with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Early in her Christian walk she was a founding member of Lane Memorial CME church, where she served as a trustee, Sunday school teacher and usher. The last 20 plus years she was a faithful and devoted member of The Word of Light Christian Center Church under the leadership of Pastor Wayne A. White. She served on the Mother's board, Mother's on the move nursing home ministry, usher board, she was a prayer warrior and assisted with communion service. Ardella leaves to cherish her memories; her one loving daughter and son; Denise Marie Davis and Maurice Antoine (Monica) Williams. Special son and daughter; Charles and Irene Estelle, son; Kevin White, sister in law; Desiree Brewer, devoted nieces; Gloria (Michael) Bicey, Ledora Williams, Debra Brewer, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Ardella was preceded in death by her parents; Harding and Callie Brewer, sisters; Juanita Matthews, Callie Williams, brothers; Harding Brewer Jr., Raymond Brewer and John Brewer. Ardella now rests in the master's arms, to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord and she will truly be missed by all who knew her. Family will receive friends Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 E. Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI 49202). Service will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Ardella will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery.
