

Of Jackson, MI, passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2016 at the age of 17. She was born on December 31, 1998 to parents Jeffrey and Dawn Gier. She was a student at Northwest High School and employed at Melling Tool as an apprentice welder. Bailey attended Trinity Lutheran Church, was a member of National Honor Society, and had perfect attendance in high school. She enjoyed scuba diving and welding with the career ambition to become an underwater welder and a marine biologist. She was an animal lover and artist, enjoyed being with friends, was an athlete, was fluent in sign language, and enjoyed traveling. She worked at Yellowstone National Park in 2015. Bailey loved helping others and her last gift to others was the gift of organ donation. She is survived by her parents, Jeffrey “Papa” and Dawn Gier; aunts and uncles, Duane Brown, David Gier Jr., and Melissa (Bruce) Loring; grandparents, Larry “Bill” and Rosemary Brown, and David and Alice Gier Sr.; a host of family and friends; and beloved cat Dalyla. Per her family’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 122 W. Wesley St., Jackson, MI with Pastors Michael Hanson and Eric Ekong presiding. Memorial visitation will be held at the church on Monday, July 25, 2016 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 9:30 am until time of service In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Ministries.
