In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her dear husband and best friend of 50 years, Richard. Barbara was not only a fun and wonderful mother but also a good friend to her children and a sweet grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always put her family before any earthly pleasures or treasures. Mrs. Hinkley’s life was a great testimony of God’s grace and mercy. Because she believed in her heart that nothing is impossible for God, she became a great prayer warrior taking everything to the Lord in prayer. Her children and grandchildren take comfort in knowing that she talked with God about them on a daily basis, petitioning his guidance and blessing in their lives. The family would like to thank the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility for their lovely and kind care of their mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Thursday, June 16, 2016, we will celebrate her life at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home in Jackson at 11:00 am., Pastor Robert Stewart of Countryside Bible Church officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 10:00 am. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make contributions to Youth Haven Ranch in Rives Junction or Family Life Radio Ministries (FLR.org)
