I can only offer the same memories I had before with the exception of a new memory. Aunt Betty was the matriarch of the family after the passing of her Sister, Glennis Laxton, my mom  Now I hold that position and will try to live up to your comment to me so long ago when I married at 17 years old. "Milly, don't you take no guff from no man." Thank you. I think of you often and the banana cream pie you had made. It was taken from your window sill where it sat cooling. My cousin, Shirley Ann Hegler, my dad's niece, visited us from Detroit and joined our family in visiting you. Shirley Ann snitched the pie and ran with spilled the warm goodie with  you right behind. Boy, was she mad and sat Shirley's butt down on the porch, lectured her, then made her clean up the spilled dessert. We shall all meet one day. Please tell Jim Crothers that I still love and miss him. Goodnite, sweet Auntie Betty.

To all the kids of Aunt Betty and uncle Ray. I will always remember as I was going through some rough times as little kid , the stability that I always felt when we got to go see you guys in Jackson. ray was "cool" before people knew was cool was. Aunt Betty was the matriarch to all no matter who ,and always had some advice for me even as I grew into adulthood. To this day I remember your house and home so clearly and all Aunt Betty brought to it and me.

I loved you grandma. Your strength, kindness, and love provided me an example of how a dignified life should be led. God bless and keep you.

So difficult at this time. I can not find words only that I will never forget you and our trips to Pleasant Lake, to the movies when I was small and how great a cook you were. Your sense of style and flair in decorating and in clothing was top notch. I want to be there to celebrate your life on March 24 and I will if I can find someone to pick me up. God has your soul...I have your memories. Loving you, niece Milly Ann Laxton Crothers.

A courageous, fiesty, funny lady, who inspired admiration throughout her life. Our 'American' Mum, who held her own special place in our hearts. Her smiling face, and generous spirit touched all our lives : and she will be sorely missed by many people, particularly the family, to whom we give our love, particularly at this sad time.

The sweet memories of my Aunt Betty are embedded in my heart. Her vivacious spirit, beautiful smile, loving generosity, and infectious laugh created memories that will remain with me forever. As a little girl I remember visits where she swept into our home in Tennessee and beautifully demonstrated how to embrace life as she was both fabulous and fun. Though many miles have separated us, she has always been near and dear to me. It brings a smile to think of heaven's welcome as she reunited with those she loved who had gone before her. What a blessing she was and how deeply she will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are now with her precious family.

Betty was the mother-in-law to my brother, and a real joy to be around. She had charisma and beauty inside and out. We are so fortunate to have known such a lovely lady. Our hearts go out to her family.

Grandma, Thank you for all of the joy that you brought me. I always loved to go to grandma's house. You made me feel special. I will keep you close in my thoughts and in my heart, forever. Rest in peace, grandma.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Betty Massie Smith who I dearly love to this day.  Many good times we had with our neighbors that I will never forget.  Bless You All!
