

Of Tompkins Center, passed away at her home of nearly 65 years on Tuesday, January 1, 2024 at the age of 89. She will be remembered by her son, Dale Duncan; four grandchildren, Shannon Murray, Lindsay White, Ashley Duncan and Dale “J” Duncan; many great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; sister, Norma Ebert as well as nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Valance Duncan; son, Kenneth Duncan; granddaughter, Dani Ellenwood; three siblings, Charles Folts, Ray Folts; Ruth Basenaw and grandson-in-law, Chad White. Beverly was born in Quincey, Michigan on December 23, 1934 to Frederick and Clara Folts. After graduating from Springport High School she married and raised a family. She enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with family. She was a hardworking family woman and was fond of the memories she had farming with her father. She carried her passion for gardening throughout her life. Beverly was a bus driver for Columbia Central Schools before she went to work at Jacobson, where she retired after many years of service. Beverly had a strong Faith in the Lord and was a member of Clinton Road Bible Baptist Church. A Funeral Service will be held at Burden and Patience-Montgomery on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Chris Biggs officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation before the service from 10:30 A.M. until Noon. Mrs. Duncan will be laid to rest beside her husband at Tompkins Cemetery.
