On August 17, 1984 a handsome baby boy Brian Damon Boyd II was born to Vivian and Brian Damon Boyd Sr. In Brian’s early life he attended the Chicago Public School System, he continued his academics through the Florida School Systems ultimately finishing his high school education in Jackson, Michigan. Brian continued his education taking courses at the Jackson College and being a member of the original Men of Merit group which is a group of diverse college men who are role models in the community. Even in Brian’s last days he was taking virtual college courses. Brian liked basketball and cooking but he had a special love for music. As much as he liked rap he enjoyed gospel even more. At times in his life he was known for singing Church of God specials. With Brian’s musical abilities and lyrical talent he wrote songs and poetry. These special gifts are probably why he had a way with words and charm to match. Brian will be remembered for making people laugh and smile and just being the center of attention. He was also a protector to his family, there is nothing that he would not do for them. After different personal and health challenges Brian unexpectedly departed this life on August 15, 2021. Brian is proceeded in death by the “love of his life” as he lovingly referred to his mother, Vivian McCranie, grandmother Ida Mae Brown, Papa Robert Boyd and brother Brian Damon Boyd Jr. Brian leaves to cherish his memory his father Brian Damon Boyd Sr., his children who he would do anything for Brian Dion, Brion Damon, Alaijah Eloise, Braylen Tae’Shawn, S’Nyah Bri’An Ida Marie and his little baby Bryce Tae’Vaun Lebron. His siblings that he protected to no end Vanesha, Pierre, his Vitiana and his Perriel. His nephews who he had a special bond with Dwayne Jomon, Dwan Barack, Deonta Lamarr and LaZayveon Ameer and his nieces Imonii-Jamai Vatrice and LaZariya Viviana who he lovingly called Mamas and his grandmother Elder Mary Boyd and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Also special friends and mothers to his children Myrina Roney, Alyssia Hall and Shawntae Johnson, we thank you for what you were to him. Brian will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
