Love and Blessings XOXO, until we meet again! Carla was full of life, she loved her family and having a good time; she was the life of the party. As a child Carla was a girl scout, she was an avid gardener, loved her animals, leaving behind her beloved puppies, Precious and Molly. Carla took the lead in many of our family gatherings bringing laughter and joy everywhere she was. Carla loved her grand babies; she was so much like her father. Family was important, she lived like her mother, making sure everyone’s dishes and laundry were washed and clean; no matter where she was, Carla loved doing dishes and relieving some of the pressure of the mundane tasks in entertaining guests. Carla was a fighter, she never gave up; she had a massive heart attack, followed by a diagnosis of stage 4 Breast Cancer ~ after recovery she had her shoulders and hips replaced, a necessity after the chemo devastated her joints. She faced many hardships and kept fighting back. She entered the hospital September 12, 2016 with pneumonia, we thought she would make it through; she heard the devastating death of her father and it was more than she could take. Carla loved her father; she was daddy’s little girl. Carla wanted our blessing in giving her the right to let go; after praying with her and telling her our goodbyes, Carla left us peacefully for her journey home. A celebration of her life will be held at Rivertree Community Church, 3113 Lansing Ave. Jackson, on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Burial Draper Cemetery. Visitation at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home Wednesday from 5-8 P.M.
