Carol D. Poe

Passed away at her home, surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the age of 66. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Franklin D. Poe; two daughters, Julie (Jesse) Brewer and Melissa (Jack) Cassibo; five grandchildren, Jesse Franklin Brewer, Christina (Brandon) Baker, Laura (Kyle) Gonzalez, John-Michael Baker, and Rileigh Cassibo; two great-grandchildren, Nickolas and Lindsea Baker; three brothers, Charles, Eugene and Stanley Fowle; two sisters, Mary Lou Stevens and Betty Rose. She was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Knevitt; as well as her parents. Carol was a resident of Jackson all her life, where she raised her family and worked for Mechanical Products for 35 years. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending time with her family at the lake. A celebration of her life is scheduled at the funeral home on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bob Castle officiating. Family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. then again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. She will be laid to rest in Oaklawn Cemetery in Stockbridge, MI.
