Of Jackson passed away on October 13, 2015 at the age of 94. He was born in Jackson, Michigan on June 30, 1921, the son of James and Mary Gardner. Clifford is survived by his children, Bonnie Gardner (Frank Zaborowski), Robert Gardner. Clifford was a Veteran of World War II in the army 39 Station Hospital. He was a past commander and life member of the Richard F. Smith post of the American Legion Post 29 and was past cheif De Gare and life member of the forty and eight Volture 746. He retired from GoodYear Tire and Rubber Company with 37 years of service. Clifford served several years on the American Legion Zouaves under the leadership of Karl Mayer and Dale Showerman. He was an avid golfer. According to his wishes cremation has been chosen with a graveside service at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 12:00 pm with the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team.
