Connie L Jeffries

Connie Louise Jeffries was born, February 24, 1965, in Jackson, Michigan to the late Josephine Berry and William Berry Sr. Connie was known to be outspoken but had a heart of gold. Connie loved spending time babysitting her nieces and nephews, during their younger years and being a helping hand to others. Connie loved talking on the phone, going to casinos and arcades, until her health declined.

Connie was known as the “heartbeat” of her family and prior to her health declining she could often be seen driving around Jackson, visiting various friends and relatives. She loved shopping and taking advantage of good bargains/sales. Connie would oftentimes, call her friends and tell them what stores had different items on sale. Connie was always looking out for others and often volunteered her own time to help others. Connie spent a lot of time with her one and only child, Jessica. Connie and Jessica had an undeniable bond and were inseparable. Jessica loved playing jokes and teasing her mom. Connie would sometimes tease her and say “You gonna miss me when I’m gone” and Jessica would reply “Girl stop, you ain’t going nowhere”. Jessica will surely miss her mom but she knows that she will forever be in her heart. Connie also devoted her heart to her longtime companion of 20 plus years to Mr. Bernie Banks, of Jackson, MI. Connie and Bernie were two of a kind, whose love for one another was understood by them. As Connie’s health declined, Bernie ensured that she was taken care of until the end.

Connie was proceeded in death by her parents, Josephine Berry and William Berry Sr., aunt Ethel Lee Dale and special cousins, Joseph Jeffries and Terrica Reese.

Our beloved Connie Jeffries passed away on Thursday, October 14th, 2021 at age of 56. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Jessica Latasha Lynn Berry of Jackson, Michigan, brothers Willie Ray Jeffries, of Jackson, Michigan and William Berry Jr. (Sabrina) of Gilbert, AZ and her longtime companion, Bernie Banks. Nieces and Nephews: Natasha N. Berry, Tierra, O'Shay, A'Shaun, Attoria and Omar Berry. Great-grand nieces and nephews: Jeremiah and JaNiyah Bennett, My'erra, A'mya, Michael Harris and Kash Berry. Aunt Betty Jeffries and special cousin Tammie Ganaway.
