Of Jackson, went to be with the Lord at the age of 70, on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Allegiance Health. She leaves to cherish her memory, four children, Yvette (Byron) Williams, Freddie Jr. (Linda) Young, Darlene Young and Earl Young; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren as well as a host of loving family members and friends. Ms. Young was born May 1, 1943 in Camden, AR to Brazzie and Naomi Scott. She raised her family in Jackson and was a proud, hardworking homemaker. She had a strong faith in the Lord and was a member of the Community A.M.E Church (218 E. Franklin) where a service celebrating her life will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11:00A.M with the Reverend Minnie Autry officiating; family hour from 10:00A.M until the time of service. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00noon until 5:00P.M. She will be laid to rest at Roseland Memorial Gardens.Arrangements under the direction of Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home, 406 First Street, Jackson, MI.
