David Ray Dodes of Jackson, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 78. David was born on April 10, 1947, to parents Ray and Louise Dodes in Concord, Michigan. He served in the United States Army from May 1969 to January 1972.
David was a beloved, gentle, honest, and kind-hearted individual. He married Nancy, the love of his life, and they were together for 38 years before her passing. David had many hobbies, including golf, playing euchre with his brother at the Eagles, and spending time with friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy, in 1994, his mother in 1985, and his wife, Nancy, in 2010. A celebration of David's life will take place in the spring of 2026. David and Nancy will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
