David Charles "Dave" Thrun

Of Jackson, MI passed away on November 27, 2014 at the age of 79. Dave was born on January 26, 1935 to Elmer and Martha Thrun in Jackson, MI. Dave worked as a plumber/pipefitter for 42 years before retiring. Dave was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, Plumber/Pipefitters Local # 333, and a life member of Moose Lodge #156. He loved playing horseshoes, bowling, and dancing; he was very active in the Jackson community. Dave graduated from Jackson High in 1953. He served our country in the Navy and Naval Reserves, Sea Bees, and Jackson Police Reserves. He is survived by his children: Tammy Thrun, Angela Prater, Lori Thrun, David (Michelle) Thrun; grandchildren: Sharee Vogel, Shane (Amanda) Pulley, Kinnedy Herrington, Allyson (Chase) Thrun; great grandchildren: Ayva Vogel, Serenity, Saleen Pulley; siblings: Conrad Thrun and Beverly (Gerald) Kuntz; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Dave was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Virginia Thrun, Claire Day, and Richard Thrun. Per the family’s wishes, cremation has been chosen and a Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 7:00pm with memorial visitation at the funeral home from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
